All of our tomatoes are of the heirloom variety. Heirloom (non-hybrid) tomatoes are typically sweeter than the standard grocery store tomatoes and they come in a variety of colors. Tomatoes are ripe and ready to eat in late May to early June thanks to our greenhouse.
All of our melons, including watermelons, and squash are also of the heirloom variety. What we offer at the farmers market is a different array of cantaloupes, honeydews, pumpkins, squash, and watermelons that you would not find in the grocery store. Our best selling melon, Rich Sweetness, weighs less than 1 lb!
We love colorful food so much that we also have started growing purple carrots. Purple carrots are anthocyanin-rich and contain lots of lycopene (aka great for fighting cancer).
We currently grow two different types of cucumbers - one for pickling and the other for munching on. We always have plenty of cucumbers to sell starting in June.
For the 2018 season we added three different types of artichokes since our plants have reached their second year of maturity. Other produce we added includes: purple sugar snap peas, radishes, non-GMO corn, and tomatillos.
Our produce is mainly for sale at the local Nampa's Farmers Market held every Saturday from 9 am - 1 pm from mid-May until October.
We can sell produce in bulk orders, such as for canning or restaurant use, when contacted ahead of time via phone or email. Our garden goodies are sold based on when they are in season and when they are available. You can always contact us to see what we have in season. Prices may change each year.
